About the Event
Masala Dosa, Coconut Chutney, Indian Chai & Carrot Halwa
Learn the art of Indian & Ayurvedic Cooking through a simple recipe that can be made and enjoyed by everyone!
Masala Dosa is a typical South Indian thin and crispy Crepe made from slightly fermented batter of urad dal (split black gram) and rice, typically eaten for breakfast, a snack or light meal. In accompaniment we will be making coconut chutney, a savory dipping sauce, as well as authentic rich and aromatic Indian Chai from a special in house spice mix. For desert we will make a delicious Carrot Halwa, a sweet dish made from cooked grated carrot, nuts, milk and spices.
In Ayurveda, food is the ultimate medicine. Eating according to our own unique constitution and present state of imbalance is key to achieving perfect health, stable mind, and connection with our spirit.
Food IS consciousness, and when we add awareness to the whole process of cooking, food can become our medicine.
Come learn, cook, eat, and enjoy the delicious tastes of Indian cooking.
