About the Event
Join Natalie and Marinella for an engaging workshop on Ayurvedic Secrets for Radiant Beauty.
Beauty is more than just skin deep...
Ayurveda is a 5,000 year old system of holistic healing, originating in India.
How can these ancient traditions be applied to our modern day society?
In this workshop we will be exploring what beauty means in the context of Ayurveda, and how to we can use diet, lifestyle, and natural ayurvedic herbal remedies to support the beauty, radiance, wellbeing and harmony of our body mind and spirit.
About the Teachers:
Marinella Puerto Marinella, a native of the island of Sardinia (Italy), graduated from the Center for Ayurveda. Her training also includes "Vedic Counseling”, “ Yoga, Ayurveda, Mantra and Meditation Therapy”at the American Institute of Vedic Studies, "Conscious cooking with Ayurveda " and "Pranayama - Breath Control for Balance and Longevity" with Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico, “Ayurveda Yoga Shakti Program“ with Dr. David Frawley (Pandit Vamaveda Shastri) and Shambavi Yogini Devi and “Pancha Karma” certification at Maharani Academy.
Marinella has been trained in the Guru Kulam tradition; a tradition in which the presiding teacher takes responsibility for the academic, as well as the personal and spiritual training of the student.
The science of Ayurveda was not new to her. In fact, when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2013 she decided to treat her disease holistically. That is when she met her guru and mentor Dr. Mela Gaskins-Butcher, Founder and Director of the Center for Ayurveda. Marinella will tell you that MS has changed her life. She is thankful that it has brought her to Ayurveda, the science of life and conscious living! She firmly believes that our body can heal itself if given the proper tools.
Her journey is not over as she continues to study and expand her knowledge of Ayurveda and the Vedic Sciences.
Natalie Maharjan started her journey with Ayurveda 6 years ago in Nepal where she was first introduced to the ancient Vedic science of healing during a 200 hour Yoga Teacher training with Yogi Nomad at the foothills of the Himalayas. She then completed a Ayurveda and Yoga Counselor Program with Mas Vidal's school Dancing Shiva in Ventura, California followed by a Panchakarma Training Program in Pune India. Finding her whole life being transformed by the sacred wisdom of her teachers and the application of her Ayurvedic studies, she decided to immerse herself in the Ayurvedic Studies Program for 3 years with Dr. Vasant Lad at The Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico where she studied over 1600 hours, becoming a NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medicine Association) recognized Ayurvedic Practitioner. After graduation she continued her studies in with Dr. Lad at The Vasanta Instituteof Ayurveda in Pune, India where she completed a 6 week Panchakarma Therapist Training Program. After many years of traveling and studying, Natalie is excited to return home to Ventura, CA and offer authentic Ayurvedic healing through classes, Ayurvedic treatments, and individual consultations which include educational recommendations on diet, lifestyle, yoga, meditation, pranayama, and herbal protocols to bring harmony to the body, mind and soul.
